Phew! Having a final viva in Paediatrics posting with Dr K felt like I’m sitting for a final exam in meds school. Glad that it’s over now. I’m pretty happy with with my achievement today. I remember my 6weeks’ assessment. Didnt get good remarks for it. Although I dont need to repeat the assessment, but she left me with the impression that I’m not good enough, I’m still incompetent, please do more reading. Which is goo in a way. I try my best to read whenever I have free time. ( not that super hardworking, but still, I made an effort :P ). The viva went well. I feel good about myself. Cant believe peadiatrics posting almost finishing. In two weeks time, I’ll be in medical posting.
Kids aren’t so bad after all. Just that pricking them is a lot harder than pricking adults. I enjoy my stay in paeds. Seeing myself as a paediatricians? Nah.. I’m interested more in adult :P
I hope to be a great doctor 1 day. Feels good when u get to help ease people from their pain

Wow, it’s been months that I left this tumblr without updates! I’ve been busy. Preoccupied with work. If not working, i’d sleep. Sleep is so very precious. I think, most of working people would find sleep very essential isn’t it? Well, at least I do! Lol
After graduation, I was so excited of the whole idea of working life. I wanted to work asap. I was so enthusiastic to the extend that I went for my induction 2weeks after landed home. Some of friends think it was a little bit too much to start that early. Like I said, I was too impatience. Why? Probably bcos JPA stop supplying the mony. Lol, money driven :P
Working life isn’t all glamorous, or as fun, or as easy as it seemed in Grey’s Anatomy. Superb HOs with superb case presentation & knowledge like Yang, Meredith? YOU WISH! Haha. There’s a lot that I didn’t know of. A lot that has not been taught in medical school. A lot of scolding & yelling. 1 week of working, and I started to feel like giving up.
Alarm rings at 5.30am each morning, even on weekends. I opened my eyes with a heavy heart. Going to work is like a burden. I felt inadequate & incompetent. Basically I felt dumb. But I tell you what, with good attitude, over time, you’ll get the hang of it. Everyday can only punch out at 10pm. By the 2nd week, I found myself doozing off few times on my way home after work. That is how tiring it was during tagging period.
Days turn to weeks, weeks turn to months. Be resilient! I always tell myself, everyday is a learning process. As I get to 1 month, I finally manage to adapt. I remember getting 1st gift from my patient. I couldn’t describe my feeling at that time. I felt so contented. This job is a rewarding job. When the patients thank you for taking care of them, you felt appreciated & it somehow motivate me to do what’s best for my every patient.
Currently, it has been 2months & 3 weeks since I started working. I love my job :) Although, of course there’s some days that I would hate my job, but most of the days, I enjoy it. The existence of helpful, kind & fun-loving colleagues, has made Hospital Ampang Surgical department a lovely place to be posted to :)
No words can describe how relieve I felt when this event was finally over. Thank you Anna for always being a great partner! If it wasnt you, all these wouldnt be possible :)
I am not much of a high heels person. Mine, is usually 1 inch or 2inch tops. Today I was wearing a 4 inch. By the end of the day, my feet were begging me to spare them some mercy! Note to self, bring flats in case of emergency like this, or, just be ur usual self of not wearing heels. Haha!
Before the talk starts, we were doing a little bit of snapping. I love this one pic. Love the angle, and of course, the model pun cun jugak! ;)

The rest were pictures of us. Didnt get to take pictures during the talk as my battery went flat. Smart right, forgot to charge.
I enjoyed the talk, really. And I enjoyed meeting them :) Seeing them make me so proud of being a product of SSP. It was nice knowing you guys, Dr Anis Shafina, Dr Fauzany, Shasha, Tisha and Ily :)

The shoot for my graduation yearbook. The smile is so ‘Ohh So Fake’

Yesterday, I met this 2 cool people. To my surprise, they’re my seniors! SSPians SPM batch 1998. Shasha & Ily (where are my manners? I called them without ‘Kak’). If I were still in highschool, I’m done. Got called up to seniors dorm, and BOOM! Endless ‘lectures’ from the seniors and forever u’ll be marked ‘the rude junior’. Ohh, boarding school years. It was fun, really :)

So here’s Shasha & Ily. Shasha in Washington DC working with Bank Negara & Ily taking Master in Law in UK under Bank Negara. From USA & UK, coming to Moscow, to meet up with another SSPian, Dr Anis Shafina from Malaysia. They’re gonna have their Europe trip together. Boy oh boy, even years after school, these girls still maintain the bond between them. The unbreakable sisterhood.

Last Friday (17/06/11), Diba & I felt like we have to do something. At 1st, we were thinking of going to shopping mall and just have dinner/late lunch. We asked Di along, she doesnt mind. But then, Diba already bought stuff for her pizza which was her plan for dinner. So I said, let’s go to the Moscow River, take pictures and have a slice of pizza. Diba suggested we add another people, it’ll be fun. So we called a guy friend. And from a guy friend, suddenly it leads to few guys. Haha. Hence, we had a so-called unplanned picnic. Not much for the foods, but more on just hanging out and having some fun.

This feel a little bit awkward. To be writing again after many months of not writing. Last night I browsed through some of my older entries (on tumblr and blogspot). It was nice to be reminded of those happy memories. Online diary. Open for all to read! Haha. I’m not some famous celebrities, not even in famous categories at any level, so I’m guessing, nobody even interested in stalking me nor this open diary would do harm to me. Lol
As the title of this post stated, I’m done with exam. Hurrayyyy! Alhamdulillah, on 10th June 2011, I’m officially no longer a medical student and unofficially a doctor. InsyaAllah on 1st July, after taking the Hippocrates’ oath, I can call myself a unemployed doctor. Right now it’s “I’m not a medical student, not yet a doctor” (sing with Britney’s style please )
So when is my flight back? It’ll be on 8th July. What a long gap! (Some of you might say this. Yes, I’m a part time telepathic). Indeed, it is. It’s for the whole process of legalizing and translating the degree. Unless, if people in Malaysia can read Russian, then we can cut the duration short :P
The thing about going back for good I despise the most is, PACKING. Man, I hate it. If only I was this rich person, I’ll definitely hire movers/packers service. No headache and everything is easy breezy. Or better still, I leave everything behind and buy everything new once in Malaysia. Haha, dream on Pena!
The thing that I’m looking forward to about coming home are, work, money, car and LIFE! Everything going to be different. It’s a new phase of my life. The grown ups phase. Responsibility. Managing and planning life and future (oh wait, been doing that ever since in high school. It’s the same, but only bigger!) I’m excited but at the same time feeling sick like I can throw up. Working definitely can be very challenging. I’m hoping we can all survive it.
During this 1month duration that I am here, Im gonna use it to the fullest and spend it with beloved friends. 6 years of togetherness. Im gonna look back and miss everything that we had. We stood up and looking out for each other, when parents are thousands miles away, we became each other parents automatically. I will never forget that :’)

Advice for the Arians
Arians have to watch their impatience, lack of thrift, and a domineering attitude. Their ego also requires more than a fair share of continual approval and acclaim. Arians thrive on challenge, and they truly believe they can do anything - so they have a tendency to bite off more than they can chew. Acquiring patience, persistence and perseverance will go a long way in helping them to make the most advantage of their great gifts.
Some light reading on Sunday morning ;)
